This blog is a great initiative by you especially for karjat. I have a farm on the karjat kadav road, and when I had visited the BSNL office a month back, they told me that the landline itself would take atleast 6 months or even more to come to this village. What would you say about the data card is it sufficient for browsing etc. Do you know anyone using Reliance broadband in this region, would love to know if you have experienced internet with other ISP's in this region. Are you based in Karjat city ?

hi Ketan, I don't know about the policies, the thing is we were lucky as to have a pre existing cable underground for part of the distance.

I don't think you will get anywhere by filing an online application form. What you can do is fill the form and submit in the Karjat office.

What is the BSNL policy for cables ?
we have lot of problems with cables since we have a landline from BSNL and they informed that they will not provide cable more than 100 Running feet, therefor we provided them the normal 2 pair telephone cable which they joined after first 100 ft. but the line keeps on breaking due to cable disconnections. We need Broadband unlimited connection for which we filled the online request form, but we did not get any response from BSNL.

I really like your point of view, even when we visited kondane caves i was appalled by the amount of thrash at the place.

With the amount of corruption in our country/world we will continue to see forest being destroyed for more concrete structures.

I want to express my thoughts:
I am swayed by the enchanting beauty of this region (Karjat) with very very historical significance and picturesque. But, over the years this pristine beauty has gone tremendous change.... It is no longer pristine. Everywhere there is NA Plots, trees are depleting, concrete boundary walls adding to the otherwise fantastic picture/ surrounding. A sort of some hard facts for NATURE LOVERs. All these human activities (commercialization) is tempting for investment to come to nature in a "not best way" (I think).

Slowly and slowly we are destroying the nature.... robbing its pristine beauty. Konkan and Karjat are the MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES in INDIA and WORLD...

Use of plastic materials like P. Bottles etc. which many a times I see in historic and thrilling monuments like Kotligarh fort, and its way, Bhimashankar and other natural and historic places and forts should be banned at these places. They rob the nature in long term. They don't decompose for a very long time. Atleast, their use at these places should be restricted (I think).

Honest Efforts should be made to save the beauty (at lest for our future generations...)

Guys i have recently visited it during May 11...present status of accommodation is really sad...hotels are few n far...govt guest house has shut down..but flora n fauna coupled with scenic beauty makes it worth trying...give d ganesh ghat route a shot..if u r accompanied with females too...

this is a great short trek...easy and very scenic. Wht made me feel bad was that people were littering the place with liquor bottles and wafer packets. Why not carry your waste with you? These lovely places need to be maintained.
